Sri Lanka stocks higher at close of trade; CSE All-Share up 0.08%
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Laxapana Batteries PLC (CM:LITE) added 14.29% or 1.50 points to end at 12.00 and Nanda Investments and Finance PLC (CM:NAND) was up 13.27% or 4.10 points to 35.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ), which fell 16.97% or 9.20 points to trade at 45.00 at the close. Janashakthi Insurance Company PLC (CM:JINS) declined 14.98% or 4.60 points to end at 26.10 and Hunter & Company PLC (CM:HUNT) was down 12.63% or 60.00 points to 415.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 95 to 81 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in Office Equipment PLC (CM:OFEQ) fell to 5-year lows; losing 16.97% or 9.20 to 45.00.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.48% or 0.29 to $60.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.38% or 0.24 to hit $63.59 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.01% or 13.20 to trade at $1318.40 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.31% to 213.885, while USD/LKR rose 0.11% to 155.210.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 90.09.
